Dear Angel Family Member:
I have to apologize for not contacting my families sooner. I know the last time I contacted everyone was February 1st at which time I introduced myself as your Care Coordinator.
My situation has changed since the last time I have contacted you. My daughter has given birth to a baby boy on April 3, 2008. She and the baby are living with myself and my husband and my daughter is only 19 and as you all know raising a child is not easy. She has a large support group of my family and other family members and I am guiding her and supporting her through this.
I lost my son, Michael Alex Conn on May 13, 2005 and this baby is named Jordan Michael and I am proud to say he has my son’s middle name. Of course he is no replacement for my son and his birth is bittersweet for myself and my family after losing our son. We love the baby so much and I have my moments when I miss my son more then ever because he is not here to meet Jordan. Like all of us who have lost a child or a loved one, our lives change and we experience all sorts of emotions each and every day. No day is exactly the same. When our journeys began we feet shock, disbelief, grief, sorrow, anger, depression, anxiety, guilt and lastly, I have been told, acceptance.
I want you all to know that I am here to help any one who needs help with just about any thing. If I can’t help you I can tell you where to go to get the proper help. Angel families has expanded so much since I first joined. I was one of the first to join and have asked for help many times and I have always found help. If your angel is having a birthday or angel date coming up, you can let me know so I can have other angel families light candles. If you are having an especially difficult time and you request it, I can have other families light candles on your websites. Since it has grown so much the handful of people who took on the responsibility in the beginning could no longer handle so many requests so they have recruited people like myself to help in any way possible. The website is very helpful but if you are having a crisis you can contact me or go directly to the angel families website for people who handle crisis. Eventually, I will be having chats, and if any one is interested, please let me know. They would most likely be on the weekends. I work full time during the day from M-F and my evenings are very busy, especially with a new grandson living in my home.
